Today's book 'Inside' by Boris Becker (former tennis champion)

'Inside' is about the time Boris Becker spent in prison in the UK. And about winning, losing and starting again. He was sentenced because of financial crime, due to things concerning his bankruptcy a few years earlier. He writes quite well about what happened and about how he handled it. His discipline and his tactics from tennis proved to be very useful. It is inspiring to read how his attitude helped him. Some things are recognizable, too. After being released, he was extra conscious of using his time in freedom well.

Today, just after finishing reading it, I discovered that it is Boris Becker's birthday.

I read a review of this book a few months ago. Maybe in The Guardian. It sounded more interesting than the usual sports memoir.

@Harmonium1923 It is. For the most part it is about the life in prison. Being surrounded by murderers, con men, drug dealers etc. He reflects back on some of his won and lost tennis matches. Lessons he learned that he could use for surviving a dangerous place. Also lessons that he learned in prison. He made the most of it. In the first prison, he gave English lessons to other inmates. Then he got replaced to another prison, where he got to do some sports training. He followed a course on stoicism. That was very useful.
@Tamara68 I'd like to have that book. I'll have to keep that in mind.
