Book Recommendation: From The Ashes by Jesse Thistle

I highly recommend this book. It might not be an easy read, but it’s definitely a good book. I gave it a five star rating

The author grew up in the same part of town I live so most of the locations he talks about are so familiar to me and within walking distance for me.

Jesse was abandoned as a toddler. He became a drug addict and alcoholic and lived on the streets here. He overcame all of that as an adult and is now a professor at York University in Toronto.
