@AliceinWonderland As @DrWatson mentioned, classic erotica. She was so much more though; a very deep an introspective soul. All of her works are based off real life experiences. She & Henry Miller went hand in hand. He wrote the Tropic of Cancer & a few others.

@MoonlightLullaby I have read some of her short novels. A spy in the house of love and the others in that series.

@DrWatson I'm in awe of her deep thought process, as she was definitely far advanced in intellect than average, yet so full of sadness. It took a lot of bravery to write so boldly.

@MoonlightLullaby Yes, sadness is the word that comes to mind for me as well.

And depth -- I find myself rereading passages quite a bit.

I have not read her diaries, but they have lots of fans to this day.
