Sounds like it is about Apollonius.

@Summersrain A person that was a contemporary of Jesus. A philosopher in the Roman empire that has many of the same miracles attributed to him that Jesus did. But I looked up the book. The premise sounds interesting in talking about literalism.

@Summersrain Oh yeah. I remember that from years ago. I do think Egypt had a big influence on the surrounding cultures at the time.

@canusernamebemyusername it totally made me think Jesus is just a myth, unfortunately
@Summersrain Well for decades news of Jesus when he was born would have circulated as gossip. And you know how accurate gossip can be. Tie that in with hero worship and you end up with these legendary characters. I always want to know the real basis. Even if Jesus was a janitor, I'd still rather have the truth. Lol But after so long with so few historical documents. It can be almost impossible to reconstruct what happened.

@canusernamebemyusername a lot of stuff in the old and new testament is lifted from other myths and religions. Ancient ones
@Summersrain Definitely. Might try the Jesus mysteries as well. It is in the same line of inquiry.

@Summersrain Yeah. I believe it is part of a series by the same author. I think there are a couple more that go with it.
