I Love the Library

Unfortunately, libraries in UK are not what they were when I first found them as a boy. In those days, libraries would buy books unbound and bind them in the local authority pattern. Often in leather with raised bands and gilt titles.

DaughterOfRain, I totally agree. I'll probably go tomorrow myself. I have some books to return, plus read one (my own possession this time).

I try to go every weekend. Mine has a large selections of CDs and audiobook to borrow, as well as used books for sale, 50 cents and up.

I made a trip to mine today. Good way to spend an afternoon.

RisenStrength, I have recognized the value of audiobooks a lot lately. Book sales at my local libraries have good prices, but we get what we pay for unfortunately lol.
