Overused Words I hate Part 2

Gaslighting.
Getting sick of this one; apparently we are all gaslighting each other these days.

It's not even a good metaphor since it really means nothing to anyone anymore. Other metaphors like "up the creek without a paddle" gives some kind of idea what it means.

Case of linguistic bleaching win a word or phrase that very precise meaning gets picked up and used to mean something less precise until the word has lost all of its meaning. Consider that was an awesome sandwich nobody has ever been in all of a sandwich standing there gob smacked unable to breathe because the sandwich is so good. Gaslighting, triggering, and many other terms are overdone
