A Game of Thrones Back in the 90s, I was at the bookstore, just wasting time TBH. And then I saw this baby.
This was before Martin strike gold, HBO got their hands on it. Yeah just picked it, cause I really liked the art on the cover. This might be interesting read. I said to myself, after reading the back cover summary.
This is not my copy either, that's long gone after lending it out so much through the years.
I really do wish that poor guy hadn't gotten a case of writer's block at the worst possible time in his entire career. If he could have just finished his next book in time to save the show, people would still be praising it to this day.
@peterlee I don't think it's boredom. If you've never tried to write a book, you don't know. You get that writer's block, you put it down, and you keep meaning to get back to it as the years go by.
@LordShadowfire Perhaps he should have been methodical like Hemingway, having a structure, spending the last half hour each day mapping out the next days work.
