I Absolutely Love Bookstores

I work in a bookstore and I often sit with a book and coffee in a little nook at the back of the store legs tucked under, reading a new book. It probably sounds boring to many but to me it’s heaven

It is sad there aren't as many bookstores as there used to be. The digital age is trampling all over printed formats. I even love the way book stores smell. Printed work cost much more to produce and e-books are pushing their way in. I write and when I publish I have both formats but I don't make as much on printed versions because production is much higher.

@lasergraph it’s a sad fact of modern life. I sometimes buy electronic because some books are not ones I want to keep but many , especially poetry and history, I buy for reading and putting on my bookshelf forever
