I Love Books

--Amazon, You Temptress!...--

I logged onto Amazon for one thing, a replacement copy of The Last Unicorn on DVD. My kids love that movie but have wrecked the DVD copy we have.

One thing. Found it, eight bucks, Prime shipping. Done, right?

Oh no. I bought three more books and preordered another. Eight turned to 60.

At least one of the books is for the kids. The others are for me. A book on the Great Terror, called 1937, and a classic, Darkness at Noon, by Arthur Koestler. I read Darkness at Noon in college, but didn't have it in my library.

Ok, staying off Amazon for a bit.

Oh she is a temptress indeed. Like the Screaming Sirens my ship of productivity swerves off course when she lures me in with that seductive song, "You might also be interested in..."

I spend far too long on Amazon. 'people who viewed that viewed this' or went on to buy this - hundreds of items. I think I just like seeing all the things that are out there and to get the item that most suits my needs or sounds the best

Hahaha, I love Amazon. They know what I need more than I do. 😁
😂 Thats why I've stopped frequenting Barnes and Nobles with my kid!!
