Bought me some bookcases

And after a couple of days of sorting things out (because there was a lot of chaos) and shelving some of my favourite books. This is the result, but I should have bought one extra bookcase for some of the hardcovers (mainly Marvel) that are still tucked away somewhere else. For those people that enjoy books, have fun with the pictures!

Kwek, this is like the nerd version of an Instagram beauty pic. Look how hot/smart I am.

Not to say this is unimpressive.

@Burnley123 Having books, doesn't equal smart.

A big part of the books, are comics... like Tintin and Batman. 🙄

@Kwek00 Like having hot ass doesn't make you beautiful. It just helps. 🤣

@Burnley123 For you maybe, ass doesn't do that much for me honestly.

@Kwek00 Don't be shy. It's OK to show off. 😜

@Burnley123 I am showing off, I'm not going to contest that. It's more like: "see what I hoarded together in my own irrational collecting way" not "see how smart that I am". But I am a collector, I do have collections, and collectors do like to show what they got. That's part of the entire irrational hoarding mentality. I'm not going to deny that part.
@Kwek00 I understand loving the touch, sight, smell of actual books...and also how the real books--by virtue of BEING real and having those sensory cues--actually help one who has perused them, consulted them, read them to better remember what was perused, consulted, read.

And showing off books is a wonderful thing. 😊

@SomeMichGuy Well, showing off any collection is perceived by the collector as a wonderfull thing. It's part of the psyche I guess. Not a lot of people that collect keep it just for themselves. It's a weird human trait, that I'm susceptible too.

You mean in general, the way people show off their kids or pets? Is it the broadcasting which they like?

I don't try to show my collections unless I think that the viewer would appreciate it...same with talking about my various pets. Knowing my own proclivities, I don't try to go on about such things, because I don't assume people want to have *me* spend *their* time on areas in which they may well have no interest.

If someone happens to ask, etc., I'll say a little.

For book people, part of it is how many Jeffersons one has.
