Yes because obviously the author is trying to warn you about something

That's a really good question! I read loads and I'm trying to think what I have read that has that word many times! Was the book fiction?

Well, it depends on the topic and context. If it's a book on working with power tools or how to detonate bombs I'd probably pay attention. If it's about child-rearing or behavior I'd probably find another book.

You even can't imagine what sort of people are writing books these days. You are supposed to use your own common sense while reading any book.
