Book about history and religion?

Books like this are often a good way to start as they're a good way at getting a general look at each one, before perhaps going off into more detail. And they usually have lots of cool pictures. ☺

Find one that does not ride side saddle with an army in those history searches

Be careful doing this if you want to stay a Muslim. I lost my Christian faith after I read extensively about the history of it.. Mind you, I'm perfectly happy about that. :)
