Doris Lessing, The Golden Notebook
Eric Hobsbawm, The Age of Revolution
Rory Carroll, Killing Thatcher
@SunshineGirl How do you find Hobsbawm? :)
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@GeretJan Well his ideas are obviously very dated and superseded by subsequent events, but this work is still a brilliant synthesis of modern European history, linking everything to the "dual revolution" (the British industrial revolution and the French political revolution).
@SunshineGirl I found that also. In that sort of overaching historical exposition Braudel stayed a lot more with me though.

the Bible 🙂

(One of my majors was English literature and I love to read, but I am working and have little time left so the Bible it is.)

@Carazaa Your English is very good.

My Spanish is basic. But I love hearing the Bible read in modern Spanish. Le Senior is of course The Lord.

As a zbou I learnt Greek and could follow the New Testament readings. Alas zi did not keep it up, though I do recognise key words or concepts.

I just finished reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larson. I will probably get caught up on some of my New Yorkers magazine

I would love to visit a library again. I have read so many books n novels from Teens to adults. Derren Shan Vampire series, completed that 15 odd years ago. Gone Series by Michael Grant, literally the last book left to read.

Adult books, anything action packed like Lee Childs.
Still at that one:
