You are reading from some crazy sources then. There is no way the U.S. could lose. Iran's military has been shattered. The best they could do is survive for a few months and force the Kurds to take a hand.
Iran might want to draw it out in the hope that Israel and the U.S. decide that finishing them off is not worth the effort, but Israel has had enough of the current Iranian government. The current Iranian government is doomed.

@justbob Even with a population where half of them hate the government, and the Kurds (who the US betrayed a month ago), and the widespread bombing you're left with:
A population of 90 million. An army of one million people. An enormous stockpile of munitions and weaponry inside of mountains. A country the size of the entire midwest but it's all mountains. Also the notion that these types of bombing campaigns have never, ever won wars.
The government may very well fall, but the IRGC will not, and they're who actually matter.
There's a reason Karoline Leavitt just refused to rule out the military draft. They know this won't be over fast.
