Normal functioning adults would have just said “Ian Fleming was a great writer”. You don’t have to make everything about you.

@CGS1984 doesn't change the fact Fleming was heavily influenced by the politics of his time
@Guitarman123 Yawn.

@CGS1984 was during the cold war
@Guitarman123 I’m aware of the Cold War. I lived through some of it.
People lived on the edge of nuclear holocaust, but we got on with our lives and enjoyed the good times.
Today the world is safer but people soil themselves and fret.

@CGS1984 the world is as dangerous as back then. We're just more pacified.

@CGS1984 civil rights wasn't worth fighting for then?
@Guitarman123 Nope. I’ve got all the rights I need.

@Guitarman123 I’m indifferent to them. I benefit from neither them with or without rights. They are nobody to me.
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@CGS1984 must be nice to live in a bubble and care about nobody but yourself.
@Guitarman123 I care for a lot of people. My wife and children, my parents, family and friends. Even the occasional coworker. But that’s it. Beyond that it’s none of my concern.

@CGS1984 suppose its easier than having empathy for those who are struggling or advocating for better circumstances
@Guitarman123 I bet you have empathy for strangers because you have no meaningful connections of your own.
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@CGS1984 i have empathy for those who are in circumstances less fortunate than mine and admire activists who think society should be fairer and more equal.
