I found the film very exciting even though I knew what was going to happen, but the book because - The thorough exploration of Nazi propaganda in relation to the 1936 Berlin Olympics. The wonderful descriptions of boat building. The tension which is difficult to maintain when writing about sport and yet Brown does it.

@coffeebycandlelight Very true which is why i try not to be disappointed if I choose the watch the movie afterwards. No movie can do justice to a good book, not to say some authors, I find, seem to ramble unnecessarily.
