I love books by Kristin Hannah I've read a bunch of hers and get really hooked. They tend to lean into historical fiction. Also, if you're into the sci fi/ fantasy aspect at all, I'm half way through the Fourth Wing series and CANNOT put them down. Its like hunger games × game of thrones. Brutal, dragons, great characters and the hottest bad boy 🫠 ( which i usually avoid as i find it too cringey, but this is a good one)
@phoenixrising I just started Invisible Monsters, this guy is wild. Witty and you don’t know where you really are in the book from jumping around. So good lol thank you again
Iron Widow by Zhou was fast paced and really exciting, Skin of the Sea by Bowan had lots of cool lore, Gods of Jade and Shadow by Moreno-Garcia about defeating the god of death
They called the healer Snake and she bore the name proudly, for the medicine she distilled from the venom of the viper she carried with her was a portent cure and a soothing power to her other companion, the alien dream snake, banished fear. But the primitive ignorance of those she served killed her dream snake and wrecked her career - for dream snakes were rare and Center would not grant her another. Snake's only hope was to find another - and on her quest she was pursued by two followers, one driven by love and the other by fear and need.
