Book recommendations

So I just finished The Song of Achilles. It was ok but, didn’t exactly floor me. I’ve seen videos (ticktocks) of people crying and going on about it. Yeah not me.. so any good book recommendations? Something hard to put down.

I love books by Kristin Hannah
I've read a bunch of hers and get really hooked. They tend to lean into historical fiction.
Also, if you're into the sci fi/ fantasy aspect at all, I'm half way through the Fourth Wing series and CANNOT put them down. Its like hunger games × game of thrones. Brutal, dragons, great characters and the hottest bad boy 🫠 ( which i usually avoid as i find it too cringey, but this is a good one)

Dreamsnake by Vonda McIntyre...

They called the healer Snake and she bore the name proudly, for the medicine she distilled from the venom of the viper she carried with her was a portent cure and a soothing power to her other companion, the alien dream snake, banished fear. But the primitive ignorance of those she served killed her dream snake and wrecked her career - for dream snakes were rare and Center would not grant her another. Snake's only hope was to find another - and on her quest she was pursued by two followers, one driven by love and the other by fear and need.

@LavidaRaq You're so very welcome, I read it the first time as a preteen in the early 80's.
