12/50 Karin Slaughter (The Thriller Queen)

I have to quit being such a literary snob, cuz people like Karin ROCK, in her brief but electrifying Intro to her debut novel she lays it down the line that she doesn't fall for that navel gazing stuff, she's here to write a goddamned page turner, and I really enjoyed the first few novels in her Grant County series, I was so obsessed I got mostly everything she had written up to that point and even added her next couple she released since I wandered away from reading her. She's a very funny lady too, watch a video of her talking at length, I swear you'll be laughing!!

Grant County

Blindsighted
Kisscut
A Faint Cold Fear
Indelible
Faithless
Beyond Reach

Will Trent

Triptych
Fractured
Undone
Broken
Fallen
Criminal (with Snatched)
Unseen (with Busted)
The Kept Woman
The Last Widow
The Silent Wife
After That Night
( I don't have "This is Why We Lied" yet)

and then there's

Cop Town her first standalone, I've heard she wasn't yet used to writing them at this point
The Good Daughter
Pieces of Her
Pretty Girls -- this is her biggest standalone and I read it in paperback, burned thru that quite quickly!! I can still envision the climax, involving fire and a bad guy.
False Witness -- which was written during Covid, and some didn't like it, but it'll be a nice little nostalgic trip down something I lived through!!
& Girl Forgotten -- this might be tied in with The Good Daughter

So I might be taking way longer than 2 years with the Queen of the Thrillah!!! Hopefully she keeps pounding them out for many years to come.

@MrAlmostCrazy In spy craft its Le Carre amd Deighton but I a lot of good stuff from them and Eric Ambler..I loved some of the dialogue in The Mask of Dimitrios..they made a film that I liked but muffed the best scene/Peter Lorre

@bookerdana I think I have the Dmitrios one, I recall you mentioning it long ago! I've heard of Carre, also I have a cheap e edition of the Bond novels, that's spy stuff too but maybe not the craft part, more action adventure?

@MrAlmostCrazy I have only read the last Bond one...the scene where the protagonist in come in to his hotel room to find 'the Fat man is great
