Any recommendations?

I'm looking for new books to read, but I can't seem to find any. Anyone got some suggestions?

(Here's my book preferences)
First of all, to start it off, no books with smut or anything like that.
The genres I like reading are fantasy and horror.
(LGBTQ+ is also a very welcome bonus)

I'm re-reading for the second time, Divine throne of primordial blood on wuxiaworld.com
Beautiful fantasy book about a world where people get magic powers but our mc is tryna research to break the restrictions.

It only world-builds when necessary and our main character is 12 and goes blind in the first chapter. In the next chapter he's recovering from his mental breakdown and what its like for his family to treat him different. Its really great.

Its philosophy isn't bad either. Its storytelling is lovely. I like the quote from it when he doesn't argue with certain people by thinking "You can't wake up someone who is pretending to sleep."

I would recommend Song of Achilles, but it has a bit of smut. House on The Cerulean Sea is also a good LGBT book without any smut. Icarus is also an amazing book! I have many more on my Goodreads

It's speculative science fiction. How it would be if humans evolved into all sorts of horrific aliens, according to their different planets they've been stranded on

@caPnAhab Thx!

The square of sevens was a really good read. History and fantasy

@Gangstress Alr, ty!
No smut / anything similar...so why would LGBTQ+ make a difference?

@SomeMichGuy Sorry, but I'm not entirely sure what you mean- 😅
