Ah, Mencken ..the guy who coined the term boobus Americanus but hardly got out of his home town to meet actual Americans..a must!😑
I read Jackson's book..thats great writing..and I still haven't read Dostoevsky and thats my shame...pretty heady stuff

@bookerdana About 96% of what i have remain unfinished!! That's my shame, but also incredible joy in what's in store, i knew enough to know i wanted these things, now as i gradually document it all here it'll be a powerful and conducive aid to getting into them more.

Read any of Dostoevsky's novels? I know hes on your list..ah ,me unsolicited advice the bane of the civilized...😏

@bookerdana I've just completed Notes from Underground and Crime and Punishment. I know man it's a disease, i'm literally looking for anything good on sale for under 5 dollars as that's all i can afford!!
