Are you a fan of Neil Gaiman?

I tell you, I am either wrapped up in detail or blind as a bat. I have loved Stardust for years and years and 1 - never noticed it was based on a book or 2 - that said book was written by Neil Gaiman. Not that it truly matters, just that I’d actually known of him through Good Omens, which I had liked and often tend to explore more from the source of any work I enjoy…although I’m obviously sorely lacking in those efforts given the frequency with which I’m surprised to learn a source! Anyway, I got diving down that rabbit hole and found there are several others he’s written that pique my interest. My eyes bout rolled out my head over all this, but still, it’s kind of a delightful thing. 🤭

He is a superb writer and I enjoy most of his work.

My favourite is Coraline. I am going to recommend it to my daughter shortly. Could be a bit risky, because some of it is really quite scary, but it's very good literature.

@SunshineGirl I’m becoming amazed at how much of his work has been adapted to the screen.

@JustNik I think he is a screenwriter as well, so there is a natural cross-over: his mainstream breakthrough was Neverwhere for the BBC. He also talks really intelligently about literacy for young adults, libraries, etc.
