don't remember the title but it was written in rhyme by a doctor and discussed the eating habits of a person regarding eggs and pork products of a particular color

The Far Pavilions by M. M. Kaye. It’s in two volumes for printing purposes, but they’re supposed to be a single manuscript clocking in at just under 1k pages.

It's also the only Harry Potter book that I've read
