What are some interesting books you might recommend me?
Though I must stipulate no James Patterson or any generic police novel. Other than that, anything is welcome.

Saint Maybe by Anne Tyler. A young man accidentally causes the deaths of his brother and sister-in-law, leaving her three children orphaned. He spends the story trying to find forgiveness in himself , and redemption by giving up on the plans he had for his future in order to take care of them. Spoiler alert: it takes him the entire book to find it.
