What book(s) are you reading?

What is it about? Why do you like it?

I'm reading The Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory. It is about the mother of The White Queen. Historical Fiction.

2. Shopaholic Takes Manhattan by Sophie Kinsella. It is a funny series. Fiction.

3. Splintered by A. G. Howard. It is a twisted Alice in Wonderland series. YA Fiction.

I'm not a big fan of fiction. I just finished reading a book of WW2 aviation photographs (mostly never-before published, with a couple of exceptions) that I got for Christmas (it was on my Xmas list). Naturally, it has more photos than text, but the text part was more (and better) than I expected...
@drymer True, and with long range, active-radar missiles, dogfighting is a thing if the past too.

@MasterDvdC Oh yes, a classic... I remember they even made a TV series featuring that squadron (in the 70s or 80s)

@drymer That's what got me interested in readingthe book. I don't usually go in for biographies.

God in the Wilderness by Rabbi Jamie Korngild. It’s about discovering spirituality in the great outdoors.

@JupiterDreams Completely off topic, but you have a new Avatar?..you look good, no more posts about you not being attractive!
I’m reading Wild by Cheryl Strayed, Becoming by Michelle Obama and City of Glass book 3 from The Mortal Instruments series (for the second time). The first two are memoirs and the third one is YA.
@Spoiledbrat my dad read becoming and he liked it. i heard of the mortal instruments series. i need to read that.
SW-User
Reading "These Truths" by Jill Lepore, a history of the United States and also "Dune" by Frank Herbert, a sci-fi epic. Two very different books, but I'm enjoying them both.
@SW-User all three of my books are different, but they all have love stories which i like

The Bible, and Biblical Spiritual Warfare.

@AliceinWonderland get an app on your phone and read along as its being read. Not a way to study but you will pick up on key parts and get through it rather quickly

@AliceinWonderland I remember trying reading the bible in my teens... I got as far as Exodus, it was exhausting trying to make sense of it all, it's not an easy read...
:(
@drymer i have an easy to read translation.

Arrows Of The Queen. Actually it's a re-read. It's a fantasy book. By Mercedes Lacky. It's the best introduction to her world. She has a number of books set in the same world.
