Twilight is the worst book I ever read.

I used to think every novelist would try to make the protagonist as a likeable character no matter how much of worst person they are but no, Meyers never even tried. I never disliked a protagonist as much as I did for Bella Swan. She's the most boring person ever. She has no character, stone faced, moans and complains about her parents and treats them like shit even though Charlie seemed like a good father. She even couldn't care less about her friends and I swear in real life, she would be loner kid at school with the bitchy attitude of her unlike the boys at her school goes after her. In the story, her friends were given no purpose except to praise and follow Bella around. Ugh. Jacob is the easily sympathized character in the novel when Bella only uses him to get to know about Edward and also as a replacement to Edward when he leaves her (except when Jacob 'imprints' Renes-whatever, I hate that name!) Don't even start with Edward. To Bella, he's the pale 'Adonis' hunk with abs whereas I see him as a potential pedophile, murderer and psychopath. From the whole story, she only likes him because he's hot. In real life, if a guy follows you, watches you sleep and tells you you're his special brand of drug, that's your cue to blow his head off with a gun and run. She would end up in an abusive relationship with Edward if it was in real life. But no, he's hot, so she doesn't care if he's a creep, control her life, and invades her privacy. Oh, yeah, it teaches you to jump off a cliff when your bf leaves you and he'll run back to you in no time. Uggh. She just throws away her school and future for a hot guy and she's simply obsessed with idea of being a vampire because she's too insecure of her human life. Yep, she's a classic role model who gives wrong idea of love and relationship to young women. I don't recommend this book to anyone.

I tried reading the book when it first came out, but I was so bored after the first two or three chapters that I gave up and donated the book.

@DearAmbellina2113 that book would have better use as toilet paper or firewood instead of donating it. 😆
