Which book knocked your socks off?

The one that is currently my favourite is 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I find no words to describe the strange emotions that the author drags you through - very intense and unpredictable.

@MarkPaul I have read also that one, and a few others. I loved "my Beloved Sputnik". Well, everything was great, but I think 1Q84 is still the best
