what's the best book you have read?

The best book I've ever read is a hard one to pick, but I think it would probably be [i]The Catcher in the Rye[/i] by J.D. Salinger.

@BlueMetalChick the writing style threw me off a bit the informality of it but yeah a classic by itself

@Dancingxghost It is a little bit bizarre to read the way Salinger wrote, I agree. But the overall theme of the book, the fear of growing up and the desire to stay a child, hit me so hard because I relate to it in such an overwhelming way. I'm terrified of getting older. And I haven't matured emotionally nearly as much as I should have.
