Historian has to be Antony Beevor, I’ll read anything from him. He has a new book coming out on the battle of Arnhem in WWII, it’s in my list.
Novelist? Hard to say. I don’t read a lot of novels. GRR Martin, perhaps, based on the fact that I’m anxiously awaiting the next Song of Ice and Fire novel.
I never read LeCarre until I took Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy with me on a trip last year. I loved it. Can’t believe I’d never read him before.
