@SweetMae I was 90 miles west of the eye, and it was amazing. If you looked at the infrared satellite pictures it looked like we were being devastated. We were getting phone calls every five minutes with people pleading for us to leave because of how it looked on the TV screen. It was a warm soft rain with a moderate breeze! I did a lot of work for nothing, and I am very very grateful for that! However, Mexico beach was obliterated. Amazingly, the casualties were about as minimal as I have ever heard of in a cat 4 storm! Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amen to that. From now on, though, I'm going to be specific when it comes to 'hurricane prayers'! My neighbors and I actually discussed it at length. Hurricane prayers are tricky! We need to pray for dry air, and cold fronts for dissipation. With storms, one person's answered prayer can be another person's disaster! If you think about it, it poses an interesting moral conundrum! 🤔
