Do you speak like "this?"

I wanted to watch a YouTube video but the person kept speaking in question marks..... Everyone has a few pet peeves and speaking in "ask" is mine. 😭
Then she cut the video mid sentence to apologize about calling cats "it" and not "them"....😶

It's a relatively recent development in the American accent & I totally hate it. If you have something to say, say it! Don't seem like you're cowering for daring to express a thought.

There are a lot of language changes that I find annoying; maybe I'm acting like an old man. lol

Purposely speaking incorrect English is one of my pet peeves. Especially for well educated people.

I'm really curious about what you mean

@JimboSaturn I'm curious what Buildingadoor means by "speaking in ask"
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@DDonde I think he means either ending every sentence in an appended question like "right?" or "yes?" or just the inflection at the end of the sentence that make it sound like a question.

@DDonde I think he means a higher inflection at the end of a sentence even if you're making a statement
