I Have Something to Say

I have always wanted to be a therapist or a social worker i love helping people and talking them through things to make them feel better. Ive done it with all my friends and i just enjoy making people feel good. I have true passion for it.

The only problem is my carreer is based off of stressful things including triggering me aka hearing specific trauma or making me emotional which leads to reminding me of my trauma. Well at least thats how it can be at times it isnt always like that ive overcome a lot of it

I have always wanted to be a therapist since i was 15 but i realise some arnt cut out for a masters so i switched to social work.

In your opinion should i do what i want and be a social worker or someone that helps others through abuse and things? Or should i stay away from things that remind me of trauma? Any help is appreciated :)

Perhaps seeing ur own therapist and going thru trauma therpy to help with your trauma before hand
