I Have Something to Say

It seems like we're living in this age where people who actually question things and don't let media cloud their judgement are considered to be the crazy ones. It seems like it has become so popular to be a sheep these days that people are deliberately dumbing themselves down to fit in with the rest of the sheeple. [image deleted]

I think we're close to a turning point. The internet makes it possible to access information that you didn't have access to 15 years ago. More and more people are slowly waking up and realize that the official stories promoted by the governments and the media are skewed, misrepresentations of the truth and blatant lies.

of course this awakening is met with much resistance especially by those who stand to lose something by the truth coming to light. The sheep you're talking about are quick to label you a conspiracy theorist when you oppose the official story, regardless of how full of holes and contradictions this official story is. When some theories or views are not even open to discussion it sends me a clear warning that something ain't right.

I'm always open to debate my point of view or beliefs with anyone but a lot of people will only reply with insults instead of giving arguments that prove me wrong. This only proves to me that they follow an idea or belief without knowing why.

It's scary to me when people believe you can't question government, doctors, or religious leaders. They are just people like you and me and are just as susceptible to error and vulnerable to temptations of personal profit.

When I see a website that promotes a natural healthy lifestyle which has a warning that what they promote is not FDA approved I know I found a source of valuable information 馃榿

Pone22 I never said people weren't allowed to have an opinion. I agree about the lack of civil discussion though. It seems like people get offended when faced with a person that has a different opinion from them, they take it as something personal and it triggers them to act inappropriately and uncivilized.

I agree about the government. We've been given an illusion of freedom when in fact we're nothing but slaves.
I don't agree that people aren't allowed to have opinions. I think the problem is actually too many opinions and too little *civil* discussion with people who hold the opposite opinion.

The other problem is we are entering an age where government owns us, financially, and has the ability to peek into every part of our lives and develop profiles on us, all under the guise of protecting us from terrorists. If you put a person into a virtual cage, and watch her every movement from birth to death, she cannot feel free, even if her life was 100% virtuous. The spirit and meaning of freedom is being lost in this country.

Depends on what opinion, when you come with Chemtrails and so, it's not right to call "the others" sheep when they laugh about it, for example.

Oh GoneRogue how is that you're always reading my thoughts and saying exactly what I meant to say? 馃槀
This is very well put!

People always questioned what was in front of them. Technology has just made it easier for us to share our thoughts with a bunch of people that really don't give a damn.

It's always been this way. It's not new.
