One of my inlaws rang me and I didnt answer.

It was my father-in-law using my MIL's phone. He left a message saying he was calling to ask whether their son was at home or at work, despite the fact that he explains his schedule to them every week. He was calling on behalf of my mother-in-law, likely because she now avoids contacting me after the comments she made about me.

Too scared to talk now, huh? These are the consequences of their actions.

Lol .. some of my soon to be ex in-laws made a point of unfriending me .. but one of the cousins and I are still on decent terms. I'd imagine he's catching some grief over that, knowing the busy bodies involved.

Your husband isnt burning any bridges ,me personally would tell them to keep away, you come before anything 💯 %.
GunFinger · F
@Jimbo7 thank you and it's the way it should be.

Hubby needs to stand up for you. Just saying.
GunFinger · F
@Gibbon he did, but not as firm as expected. He still in a way defended his mother.
Good for you! Let them know, loud and clear, that you have a backbone.

@OlderSometimesWiser Yes, she is not welcome on our property under the current circumstances. If she comes she deserves nothing from me. I do not engage with toxic behaviour. Now when they contact me, I respond minimally. Only what is necessary and nothing more.
@GunFinger I love feeling your strength in this. It’s cliche but I really do believe you teach people how to treat you. And standing up for yourself is a great lesson. Unfortunately some need a lot of lessons so I hope you’ll continue to stand your ground. Well done!

@OlderSometimesWiser thank you. Her sister behaved similarly when she was alive. On one occasion she criticised me while on our property. That was not the first time btw. So as a result, I later informed her by text that she was not to come onto our property again nor to speak to or have physical contact with my daughters. She never replied, but she did what I wanted. Her loss she didn't see my girls grow up during that year. I could say the same to my MIL if she continues.

Should have thought about that before she opened her gob.

@GunFinger Racists?
GunFinger · F
@Degbeme they are. Despite their nephew, other son and grandson now having foreigners as partners too.

@GunFinger I am so sorry this is happening to you.
