Am I being impolite if I didn't bring anything to the inlaws for lunch?

They don't appreciate anything. We might just have leftovers and sit wherever we can. They don't put a tree up. I still remember getting a $6-$7 wine 3yrs ago - my reward for taking good care of her son. Btw she asked for a shopping voucher so we bought her that and a wooden puzzle. The reason why we're going there today is because one of my daughters just wants bonbons eventhough they finished 12 of them last night and today here at home. I don't wanna make an effort on people who don't acknowledge what I do.

Note: That MIL was the one who said I don't deserve something my husband wants to give me. YES, that fucker. Sorry for my language I know it's Christmas. I've never even heard that from my own mother.
