Ok...i have good news.
I have a solution for you🤗
Coz i been there🙄
And you're right - its gonna be blindingly bright.
What you do is, (and itd be easier to do this while they are still wound up fresh from the box:
You get a can of spray paint, (i used black), but i imagine you could use any colour, (i just wanted to dim them),
Any hoo....go put tjem on a box outside, stand back a bit, and mist the bulb ends with a light spray of paint.
(Sweeping motions, back and forth)
You wont get every single led. Some will get paint, some wont, some might only get a bit.
I did mine a few times....checking between each spray to get the affect i wanted .
Best to do lots of really light sprays than one thats too heavy - you want to use as little paint as possible.
You can double check how bright they are gonna be by, (when the paint is dry), plugging them in while still wound up.
If still too bright - do another dusting of paint.
This dims them down, and if you thread them deep into your tree, youll get a more subtle twinkling effect........ rather than the fit inducing disco strobe it is right now.
Hope this helps.
