What the hell?! $5 for the kids to join the colour run at school??

I was on parent council for many years and we often organized events to raise money to support the school and the kids. You would be surprised at how much money they actually need that is not covered off in the school budget.

It takes a HUGE amount of organising and it costs to buy the special non toxic paint to make the colour bombs.

I work at a school. Teachers and staff do overtime to prepeare for such events.
For free.
Cleaners hate it. Paint gets everywhere and usually its all over the walls in the toilets and in classrooms.

They use fun events like this to fundraise for the school, and the profits go into further events or equipment.

Its all in fun.
Its a cultural experience for the kids.
Something they will remember fondly.

If you dont want your children to participate, you but need to let the school know.

I know i pay enough in school taxes ... exhorbedent amount ... i would be furious if i had to pay ontop of that
