There is a subreddit that suddenly showed in my feed and it has me wanting to vomit all kinds of vitriol.
I know...I know.
The premise is optimism and an attempt to rationalize with people on the other side of the political spectrum.
I have said more than once that this is a manipulative game. "Let us sit at the table with Hitler and negotiate rationality"
Do you believe that would have worked? No. It wouldn't have. Because it is a lesson in futility. It is a feel good moment for those who struggle to hold strong in their convictions. They struggle to grasp that you cannot fight evil with rational discussion.
Evil is a state of mind. It is the complete lack of all human emotional and mental stability. It isn't the devil...a non-existent entity...it is a human being without the qualities that differ us from other species.
Evil looks at humans who are different than them as other. Not worthy of existence. Donald Trump and Republicans and the GOP have normalized this.
I have said it over and over: I will not sit down and try to rationalize with people who are not capable of being rational. Evil people don't care. They only want what they want. Period. There is no negotiating. There is not coming together.
I WILL NOT DISCUSS whether or not Trans people are worthy of basic human rights. ....like being able to live as they wish to be. The lies and rhetoric around this issue are explosive because they want it to be. They know that what we say is true....they just DON'T CARE. They want what they want....their fears to be coddled. And these aren't fears really. It's just their ideology of a "proper society".
Their only real fear is that they might be "tricked" into being attracted to a trans person. Yep. This is it. They don't want trans women in womens sports but there is no EO about trans men. They NEVER TALK ABOUT TRANS MEN. It isn't about the trans women being stronger and better either....Biological women who become men makes sense to them. They believe they are the superior gender. Biological men who become women are different...HOW DARE a man want to be an inferior woman?! That makes them "pussies", "weak" "pansies". Guys.... This is so obvious. Even the women, like JK Rowling, have this belief. It is why they never talk about Trans men. Ever. Women can be mysoginystic too. Many are.
Will I sit and rationalize with someone like that? No.
And this sub thinks it has the ticket! I read one thread and one guy was hellbent to claim that two studies are the only studies that matter. One used AI generated images. That flaws any data they used. These studies claim allowing people to transition is bad. They are terribly flawed studies. This guy does not want to consider any other information from anywhere else. And the premise is I should work hard to change that mind that refuses to be changed.
Nope. And ...nope.
They also talk about wanting to investigate the government. We definitely agree here but what is happning now is a coup and it isnt anything in the way of changing the corruption. It will only lead to more corruption and to heavy pockets for oligarchs and autocrats. They refuse to aknowledge that.
So, again, NO WAYJOSÉ.
