Did you know.....

That there were young and stellar candidates in the primary for the 2020 election?!

Yea!
I mean...I know it was so long ago and that we are a people who like to easily forget stuff...

But there were very young and viable candidates for president and guess what else?!?!

No one wanted to vote for them.
You had one issue or another and who was voted for?

The old guy. Who, by the way , is old and not mentally incapable. But I digress....

I wonder why people didn't choose the young ones when they had the opportunity. ....

I guess it is better to shoot yourself in your own foot and then bitch about it as if you had no part in it.

Saturday 29th June 2024, I bought a bracelet along with the earrings. But I can't fasten it. Does anyone know of a neat technique for doing it up? Or is there some kind of gadget that would help?

@ninalanyon I understand i have a few things like that...maybe a paper clip that you can hook on the chain to hold up while you get the hook on...(if that even makes sense)

@michaela2001 Thank you, that looks like just the thing.

@JaggedLittlePill That's a good idea too!

It's a natural consequence of first past the post elections. Only the candidates that command the largest block of votes are worth putting forward despite them not being the first choice of the majority of the voters.

Honestly, people I know voted for Biden because he felt like the "known entity" and someone capable of beating Trump, which was really the imperative in 2020. The people who were saying Biden was "too old" then but are voting for Trump now are hypocrites, of course, because Trump is now 78–the same age Biden was in 2020. Then, of course they no longer care about having a convicted criminal in the White House, either, so consistency isn’t their strong suit (as the "law & order" party).
