Why do young ladies think it is acceptable to go to the shops in their dressing gowns?

It is not. If you are cold, get dressed properly and put on an appropriate coat. Often I see a certain type, who will go to their local shop in the morning, who'll actually apply makeup but neglect the effort to actually get dressed properly.

Obviously they are parading themselves to the men who work in the shop and hope that showing up in such attire in someway entices them. If they are correct about that, these men are not worth bothering with. Standards exist for a reason.

Why? I think because they feel that pajama bottoms are almost identical to sweat pants, except more colorful and now have a dual purpose.

When I walk through a mall and see female teenagers wearing grey sweat pants, I don't really think anything about it. But when I see them wearing pajama bottoms and furry pink slippers that are not designed for outdoor use which my grandmother use to wear around her house, I can only conclude that those girls are trying to look 'cool' to their peers (which they are not), or they are trying to attract a specific breed of 'guy' to themselves who adore slovenly-dressed women whom are already dressed for the bedroom scene in the guy's movie and who most likely already have a good supply of condoms on hand that he now doesn't have to buy himself! It's a win-win for him!
