Did you know that the last person born in the 1800's died in 2017 at the age of 117 years and 137 days?


Did you also know that the kids are saying "the 1900's" ...."in the late 1900's" now and I am still miffed about it? 🤣...child.....just say 1995 and get over yourself.

"The 1900's refers to anything before 1920 and after 1900.. I have decided.

It still blows my mind that my father was raised by parents born in the 1800s (and I remember them vividly). Pop had older relatives who were born into slavery (and he remembers talking with them). Occasionally I’ll mention someplace I used to go "in the last century” and my niece (born in 2001) will look at me like I’m a dinosaur.

Exactly! 😏😏 Anything after 1929 can be referred to by the decade - the 30s, the 70s, etc
