I hope the kid is ok. Damn maybe I've gone soft in my old age.

I've mentioned before how the boy across the hall is always getting fussed and screamed at by his mum. I swear I heard her threaten to beat him bum before too. Well she's often gone for stretches of time or sits in her car for hours smoking. I was leaving my flat and heard the kids voice asking mum? Mum? Mum? To me he sounded worried or scared to be alone or something. I asked him if he was alright in there. No response. I asked him if he wanted me to go get his mum. I told him she's in her car smoking. No response. I don't know if he's afraid to answer or if he's alright. I just let it go at that point and went to work.

@violentred is she a single mother? Maybe helping her would help him?

@SW-User I think so? There's some man that comes around quite a bit but don't know who he is.

@violentred she probably needs a friend to help her think clearly. She's obviously struggling and doesnt know how to cope. If possibe, see if you could become friendly with her and talk to her without bringing up the kid. Find out what she's struggling with and offer some advice that way..
