I think you are too kind giving Merkel this benifit of the doubt. The whole situation is far more nefarious than trying to save face because of blunders, in my opinion. There are too many in, not only, the German government, but other western governments that hold Islamofacist views, and deliberately trying to destroy western civilization.

Only today it was brought up about how many of the Muslim Brotherhood had infiltrated the US federal government.

If you keep track of news from the world, you start to see a pattern over years. For example, some in Germany have suggested western women do not go out at night without being accompanied by a male. Of course to women who are now afraid of the roving migrant, Muslim males, accosting and attacking them this seems like common sense, but do you see the first step in changing a culture to Sharia. This is exactly what the Islamofacists want. One small step at a time, and they present it as protecting women. Now they wouldn't need to "protect" women like this if they hadn't allowed these marauding migrants in to the country in the first place, and rather than deal with the real threat (like sending these criminals back), they expect their own citizens to change their behavior to appease the migrants.

There is an area in France (maybe around Paris) where no women are seen or allowed. A couple of female reporters went to a cafe with a hidden camera, and they were told to leave as women were not allowed, and as men (Muslims) started to congerate around them with hostility, they made a quick exit from the cafe and that area. This is France in 2016. It's the same in parts of Britain.

@Carissimi: All you are saying is true and very disquieting,I have seen a series of videos depicting the Muslim brotherhood,they are on YouTube and very informative,YES they are doing internal jihad to destroy western culture from within,if you have not seen those videos,please look them up,there are quite a few of them but well worth watching,by the way our friend Northwest denies there is such a thing as the Muslim brotherhood and that it is all nonsense,that makes me wonder what his agenda is regarding Islam,he is also full of misinformation saying that on the whole Islam has banned child marriage in most Islamic countries,which we all know is not true.
I knew about the story of the tho women who entered the cafe in Paris,that would not have happened even five years ago and my friends in Marseilles tell me that there are "no go zones" there where the police is too afraid to venture into. Islam has more of less taken over France,it is too late for France now, the damage is irreversible because of the leftards politicians who are in power there and are allowing this to happen. We always had Muslims in France for years following the Algerian war,yes, but they kept to themselves and did not try to establish Islam in France, now since the "refugee" crisis things have changed immensely and it appears that they are now taking over.They have different tactics to establish Islam in different countries,in America it seems that the Islamic brotherhood is the one that appears to be working very well to that aim with indoctrination of the young in the many mosques that have sprung all over America and also in universities and college where Islam is being promoted,in European countries other tactics are used like rape on a grand scale and attacks on french citizens in the streets to frighten people into adopting their ideology,the imposition of halal food,the banning of non halal food in schools,the attempts to banning Christmas to name just a few.They are more aggressive in Europe,because this tactic works there.I believe that the Muslim brotherhood also exist in England and I suspect the mayor of London to be one of them even though our friend Northwest tells me that I am deluded and that my "hatred" of Muslims,ALL Muslims blinds me!

Now I am the one who is called "hateful" and "islamophobic" for mentioning and sharing videos about such practices,not the rapists OH NO! Not a word said about them!

As for the Islamic apologists and deniers, well we are well aware of Taqiyya, and how it's expected of Muslims to lie and deceive non Muslims. What can we expect from a religion/political ideology that commands its followers to lie to the infidels? It's nothing to them because we are nothing to them. We (especially women) are below cattle.

@berangere: OMG!!! This is terrifying and horrendous. I knew about it, but I've never seen it visually. I could never imagine how terrifying it could be. I was thinking it was a small group of men...which is scary enough...but to see it like this? There is absolutely no chance of escape. There are hundreds of them.

Merkel and her ilk should be standing trial for these atrocities against her own citizen women.

Anyone, I mean ANYONE, who criticizes the messenger and not the rapists, or marauding mobs of Muslims, is no better than these disgusting criminals. However, we must understand that Islamofacists/leftists/elites/Marxist, or whatever you want to call them, always blame the innocent while giving free reign to the perps. Students at the university where the Somalian mowed down and knifed their fellow students are now calling the terrorist's death a police on black shooting, as if the policeman who killed the terrorist is to blame for killing a troubled migrant. No mention of the students attacked. That's not important to these lunatics, and they are lunatics. They defy reality and common sense. Men are now women and vice versa. Rape is now blamed on the woman (sharia), while the rapist (except if he's non Muslim) is made to be the victim. Up is down. Inside is outside. Black is white. They have turned reality on its head. I do believe they are insane. It's like mass hysteria, only insanity.
