I really don't like this world.

Today a kid called my 11 year old daughter fat and her friends were not at lunch so she sat alone.

My daughter does not need to worry about her weight. Puberty is here and her body is changing.

She didn't tell me.
She told her cousins.
They told their mom because they were upset at the injustice.
She told us.

I am sad she did not tell me. I try to talk with her. She is weird about it.

I am sad.

There were instances of bullying that I didn’t share with my mother, because A.I was embarrassed about it and
B. She was already putting out other fires with my siblings, etc., and I didn’t want to add to it.
I knew I could’ve told her, but somehow it was easier to tell my older cousin.

Thank you for your words. They really helped me to get over the fact that she did not talk to me about this.

It has made me rethink some of the things I say and do and how I will approach things going forward.
