Moved again, but settled and looking forward to our wedding

For everyone that has been following this story, thank you. It's been mainly for me to vent and get things off my chest.

I have moved back to Florida. The sun and warm temperatures pulled me back, but to be honest I knew it would. My fiancé and I found a nice little apartment in Sarasota. We moved in the week of December 5th. It was kinda nice in that all the furniture is brand new, and we could deal with each piece as it came in.

Insurance did approve most of our claim, but we were still about 7k short of the cost to replace everything. For once my OCD came in handy with all of my receipts where I/we had bought things. I'm just happy to finally be back in "our own place". I cannot thank my future in-laws enough. I really bonded with my future MIL. Before all of this, I don't think I spent more than 6 hours with her at one time. During the Thanksgiving break, we spent three days together by ourselves. I learned a lot about my fiancé that I didn't know, and was able to really go into detail about how and why I don't have contract with my family. I learned more about his family history, and better understand why he does some of the things he does now.

Now I am sitting here, waiting for him to get off work so we can go meet some friends for dinner. Sadly I will be working up to the 23rd, and will only be off the 24-26. Same thing for New Years. I am not complaining, work which has been such a big hassle in the past now seems so insignificant.

Since I will be working so much, I probably won't be back on until after January 3rd, so I hope each of you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
