I'm okish. Heavy on the ish
I can now say I've been through a natural disaster, though I never wanted to be able to say that.
I want to say that my fiancé and I are both alive and were not hurt.
About a year ago we moved just north of the Fort Myers area of Florida. Hurricane Ian ripped though and has destroyed our apartment. Thankfully we left a few days before Ian made landfall as we were able to stay with family. We packed his truck and left Monday, and Ian hit two days later. We were not able to get back down to our apartment until last weekend. Our apartment is destroyed. While the building currently stands, it has been deemed unsafe to enter, and we have been doing our best to search were we can to see if we can find anything we can salvage. We are hoping that we still might be able to get in so see if anything is worth keeping, but I don't have a lot of hope.
Needless to say I won't be on here much of the next several weeks, as we look to move on through all of this. I hope all of you are good, and please take care of each other.
