Weather Tornado warning

On phone...is supposed to sound no matter the sound volume...right?

Mine showed the tornado warning but i never heard the sound.

Luckily i had woken when the wind and rain started hitting the windows.

Saw the warning but it never made that awful sound.

A bit freaked out.

But all ok.

Not sure if you're on iOS or Android, but on Android there is a setting to choose whether you want to hear various types of alerts.

It was all of the phones in the house though. My son's didn't sound either. Neither did my husbands. But we got the text and the overlay alert message
