Confession I don’t know how to save money for a long period of time life always happens and I end up touching it. Any suggestions on how to save money

First of all are you actually earning enough to cover your basic needs? A person who's just earning enough for rent and food can't really be expected to build up savings.

You have to be hard on yourself Kathy, it's very tempting to dig in to savings to pay an urgent bill, I've had to do that.
But there's such a thing as 'living within your means' as in not spending more money than what's coming in?
Managing to save is just using self control, but you need even more self control not to touch it!
