If the cdc wants everyone to wear disposable masks they should provide them to people because not everyone has the money to buy them.

@TheGreatestEver123 the more expensive surgical masks are designed to catch bacteria so it doesn’t get breathed into open wounds during surgery, when patients have lower immunity. Viruses are too tiny to be stopped by the surgical masks.

@cherokeepatti the high grade surgical masks are supposed to be more effective but they have been mandatory for members of the public in all public areas (including outside) in Germany for a long time and they don’t seem to have reduced the transmission. Even the U.K. government cannot provide any evidence that masks are effective. I’m amazed people don’t object to being forced to wear a mask for no food reason. Maybe they are just scared.

@TheGreatestEver123 a nurse posted on another website that medical people have to be fitted for those masks and they have to be tested every single time with a machine to show they are fitted right otherwise they are useless. Trying to get the public to wear them right would be hard enough. She said they are useless for the public. I have never worn a mask and if they want my business they won’t push it, otherwise I will find other places to do business.
