Tests and vaccines and exposure....oh my!

We have negative Rapid test results for me and the kids. My husband is going to do the rapid as soon as possible today.

Still waiting on PCR test result from yesterday and today when we took the rapid test they also do the PCR test so we will get results from that as well.

I am now on the hunt for home tests.

If anyone has info on a good place to get those...please let me know!

Anyway...Happy Tuesday...

Well so far that's all pretty good news. I'd start calling around some of your local pharmacy options. Last week I was trying to find them and it was tough. One grocery store told me that a shipment was expected the next day. So the next day when grocery shopping (at the same store) I went by the pharmacy and they had a couple shelves full so I picked up a couple boxes. Since my wife tested positive a week ago wanted to make sure I didn't develop since I was in contact with her.

@JaggedLittlePill Yep she is. They did a transfusion the other day. She's feeling better but fatigued. Negative test results so she's back home again.

I only know that I keep hearing of rapid tests giving negative when PCR instead turn positive (and they do develop symptoms afterwards). Not sure if it's Omicron or if they've always sucked this much as a diagnostic tool.

@Elessar Yes. I hear the same. I wanted to do both just to be safe. I am impatient and wanted some sort of ease ..no one is symptomatic ...I think my symptoms were simply a migraine.

@JaggedLittlePill I've freaked out a bit over a loss of perception of tastes today, but by the time of dinner it's gone and I'm just having a slightly swollen tongue, so apparently it's my usual allergies. But yeah, I feel you.

1:10 of all tests are turning positive in my region, I know a sh*t load of people who are currently quarantined.
